The school is loosing numbers very fast and the management has hired you as a hope.
They consider you a magician, who can wave a magic wand in the air and all of a sudden the admissions starts pouring in.
But you are aware of the chaotic conditions as you realised
that the teachers are not motivated, parents are frustrated, and students are performing below average
And you are thinking, maybe you have made a mistake
But then Magic does happen
and a list of innovative ideas is
falling falling falling falling
falling falling faaaaalliiiing
falling on your head
Through this weekly newsletter, a set of innovative school leaders, plan to build that list just for you
School Innovation Ideas
This week the following 3 School Leaders have come forward to help you
Mrs Uma Sharma

Idea - ‘Innovative Saturdays’
Methodology to incorporate all kinds of learners in the classroom.
Being educators, we all the time need to devise new methodology to make teaching learning an interesting process, keeping in mind the present generation and their awareness level .
With the different kinds of learners in our classrooms, it becomes important to take into account all kinds of learners ,while teaching.
But usually, our teaching revolves around the audio and visual learners and the ones who learn by doing, the kenesthetic learners, are not touched at all .
So we in our school came up with the concept of “Innovative Saturdays”, that means throughout the week the teachers use the normal pedagogy to teach the students and on Saturdays, hands-on activities are designed on the matter taught from Monday to Friday and thus the whole class experience, by doing ,what they learnt throughout the week in all the subjects.
It helps to recapitulate the portion covered during the week, involve children in learning, and thereby improving their critical thinking, teamwork, decision-making, creativity, and self expression, and not to forget the kinesthetic learners who can hone their skills by doing things practically.
Thus making the teaching learning process interesting and experiential.
It helped my students a lot and Saturday has become their favourite day in school. I am sure it will also add to your teaching experience.

Idea - ‘Young Innovators Pitch’
The students formed small teams, came up with business ideas, and even planned how to make money and handle costs.
At every school, we talk a lot about marks and grades.
But there’s something more important. Success is not just about studying from textbooks.
It’s also about being creative, solving problems, and working well with others.
These skills help us in life no matter what we do.
To teach these skills, we held a fun event called the Young Innovators’ Pitch for classes 9th to 12th.
It was so exciting to see our students’ bright ideas!
They formed small teams, came up with business ideas, and even planned how to make money and handle costs.
The most exciting part was the Pitching Session!
Our students shared their ideas with a panel of judges we called ‘sharks.’
They showed so much confidence, teamwork, and creativity. It was truly inspiring to watch!
This activity was more than just fun. The students learned to solve problems, work as a team, and speak with confidence. They also saw how to turn ideas into plans.
This was a proud moment for all of us.

Idea - ‘Setting the mood of the School’
How School leaders can ensure that the students are relaxed and in a mood for learning?

Every morning we as leaders need to ensure that the students are relaxed and in good mood for learning.
Teachers are multitasking as homemakers they might have faced some issues in the rushed hours of the morning and hence a bit ruffled and hassled.
We as leaders have to ensure that we set the mood of the class right.
Starting your round from the junior most class, check if the teacher is in good mood or needs help to settle her nerves.
We can handle the child who is upset while the teacher takes care of the rest of the class.
Here we are empowering the teacher with our support and she knows we stand by her when she needs extra help.
Now this will pave the path for the effective learning of the day.
We will come back with mopre ideas next week. Until then, bye bye
